This book draws on the Polaroid Corporation's own collection and presents hundreds of images, showing how photographers have used the format in experimental and inventive ways, with something of the character of a family album.
The text is by Barbara Hitchcock, director of cultural affairs at the Polaroid Corporation, who acquires artistic photographs for its collection and manages its travelling exhibitions. The volume was edited by Steve Crist and runs to 456 pages in hardcover, with text in German, French and English.
