Merci Cafe follows a sleepless night in Paris: the anxious hours around three in the morning, the first birdsong at five, and at half past six the scent of fresh coffee rising from a patisserie at the end of the street, the sign that the night is over. The eau de parfum opens with bergamot, lemon and cinnamon, moves to coffee, milk, madeleine and coconut cake, and settles on cedarwood, sandalwood, musk and vanilla.

He describes his creations as “olfactory poems”: every fragrance begins with a story he writes by hand, which is then translated into scent together with master artisans and carefully sourced raw materials.
