Guframini Capitello is Studio 65's Capitello at a scale of 1:8. The full-size lounge chair of 1971 takes the form of a capital from a classical Greek column in the Erechtheion style, as if fallen from the top of the column, and turns the expected hardness of stone into something soft.

The miniature is made of soft polyurethane in stone white. It measures 14 by 14 cm and 9.5 cm high and weighs 250 g. It comes in a wooden box with a sliding lid.

The full-size Capitello is in the shop, together with the other two parts of the column, the Attica armchair and the Attica TL coffee table.

Gufram, founded in Turin in 1966 by the Gugliermetto brothers, became one of the defining producers of Italian Radical Design, turning polyurethane foam, then an industrial packing material, into sculptural furniture.

Its catalogue includes Cactus, the coat stand designed by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello in 1972, as well as Bocca and Pratone, with works held by MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Centre Pompidou. The Guframini series reproduces these icons at a scale of 1:8, among them Cactus and Broken Mirror, a design by the New York studio Snarkitecture.
