Wolfgang Tillmans has explored photography in many directions, from early portraits of friends to abstract images made in the darkroom without a camera and works produced with a photocopier. His work spans still lifes, portraits and abstraction, and in 2000 he received the Turner Prize.
For this volume, his fifth with TASCHEN, Tillmans combined his four earlier TASCHEN books into a single work about life around the turn of the millennium. The original layouts were kept, and a number of new works extend the book into the present. Published in the 45th Edition series, the hardcover has 560 pages in English.
