The name of Valentino Garavani stands for elegance and luxury in Italian couture. This book follows his career through material from his own archives and gives a detailed view of the man, his way of life and his work.

It includes drawings, editorial shoots for magazines, advertisements, portraits and documentary photographs. The texts are by Matt Tyrnauer, special correspondent for Vanity Fair, and the fashion critic Suzy Menkes. Armando Chitolina, formerly a design consultant and art director at Vogue Italia and L'Uomo Vogue, edited the book. The hardcover has 576 pages in English.
