Summer Houses

Summer Houses presents 50 architect-designed retreats, from mountain cabins and island homes to houses by the sea. The selection focuses on simple, elemental materials, open-air spaces and close links to the surrounding landscape. The houses are spread across many countries, from Argentina and Australia to Greece, Norway and Mexico.

Large interior and exterior photographs present work by architects including Manuel Aires Mateus, Studio Arthur Casas, Tom Dixon, Olson Kundig, Studio mk27 and Norm Architects. The book was compiled by Phaidon Editors and has 240 pages, hardback, 290 by 250 mm.
