Prefab Houses. 45th Ed.

Prefabricated houses were long seen as a cheap and simple solution. Today they stand for ambitious design and refined detail, and this updated edition traces their story through projects by well-known international architects, among them Albert Frey, Jean Prouvé, Shigeru Ban, Renzo Piano and Norman Foster.

The authors are Arnt Cobbers, an art historian and freelance writer in Berlin who has written TASCHEN monographs on Erich Mendelsohn and Marcel Breuer, and Oliver Jahn, director of architecture and design at Architectural Digest. Peter Gössel edited the volume. Published in TASCHEN’s 45th Edition series, English edition, hardcover, 512 pages.
