F.L. Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright is regarded as one of the great pioneers in the history of architecture, with work ranging from the prairie houses to skyscrapers and the Guggenheim Museum. His buildings rest on a philosophy of organic architecture, an inventive use of industrial materials and the idea of a new American way of living.

Sketches, plans and photographs document all of his major works. The author, Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer (1930 to 2017), was Wright’s apprentice at the Taliesin Fellowship and founded the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives, where he catalogued Wright’s drawings, manuscripts and letters.
