Aino + Alvar Aalto: A Life Together

Aino and Alvar Aalto founded Artek together and created some of the best-known buildings and objects of the 20th century. This visual biography is the first monograph to treat their life and work as a shared undertaking, following them in Finland and abroad until Aino's death in 1949.

It was written by their grandson, Heikki Aalto-Alanen, who drew on the family's largely unpublished archive, including letters they wrote to each other and to family, friends and colleagues, as well as documents, drawings and snapshots. Hardback, 305 by 238 mm, 352 pages with 400 illustrations.
